Jonathan left his first Marvel meeting. The talented actor, who was looking forward to his first meeting with Marvel, abruptly left the room. This was after he had to wait for the executives for what seemed like a lifetime. With patience dwindling, he finally said, “It’s Cool.  I’ll just go,” and walk away.

With the imminent release of “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” Jonathan Majors is prepared to take his career to new heights. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he plays Kang the Conqueror, a villain of Thanos’ proportions. The tale of this character will continue after the publication of “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” in 2025. Though Jonathan left His First Marvel MeetingMajors, and he confessed that in a recent interview with Vanity Fair. He said that his Marvel trip could have ended before it began when he suddenly left his initial meeting with the studio.

This is what he said: This was a long time ago. I had just gotten out of drama school, and now I’m running around town and sitting in the office. I grew up in a very particular way, and I don’t want to waste anybody’s time. So I got in there, and they’re just busy. And I was like, “I’m supposed to be here, right?” It got long, and I went, “I’m just going to go.” “It’s cool. I’ll just go.” And I got to the door, but then they said Sarah Finn (the casting director) was going to come. We got in the room and chatted. We were having this great conversation. I think it was three years later that we had the Kang chat. And there’s no trepidation now, especially because of who Kang is. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige was interested in speaking with actor Jonathan Majors because of his appearance in “The Last Black Man in San Francisco.” Majors’ amazing portrayal of Kang in “Quantumania” has received much acclaim. From the outset of Marvel’s testing of the picture, Feige stated his appreciation for Majors, and it appears that the decision to cast him was correct.

“In the early days of ‘Quantumania’ (test screenings), Jonathan started to pop in a big way,” the Marvel Studios boss proceeded. “He’s the highest-testing villain we’ve ever had in any of our friends and families (screenings). That’s really saying something with a movie like this. Even early on without the effects, Jonathan is his own effect. He was working from the start.”

Kang initially appeared in Marvel in the Disney+ series “Loki,” although the version played by the actor was a variation, unlike the one seen in “Quantumania.” It’s going to hit the theaters on Feb. 17 from Disney.
