Marvel Comics Release Star Wars Pride Variant Covers To Honor Pride Month

Star Wars Pride Variant Covers

Lucasfilm and Marvel Comics release Star Wars pride variant covers to honor PRIDE Month. The whole month of June features sales for all seven STAR WARS PRIDE variant covers!

Pride Month promotes and celebrates the LGBTQ+ community’s fight for equality and acceptance, as well as the heroism and tenacity of those who have fought for and continue to fight for their rights. It’s also an opportunity to raise awareness of the LGBTQ+ community’s ongoing prejudice and violence, as well as to advocate for their complete inclusion in society.

Everyone who is doing all they can to promote equality and inclusion in our society is doing their part, and Marvel is no exception. Marvel did an admirable job of showcasing some fantastic storylines illustrating the normalcy of LGBTQ+ individuals across time.

Star Wars Pride Variant Covers To Honor Pride Month

Marvel is pleased to release all seven covers that will grace our favorite Star Wars comic publications in June. Four of this year’s gorgeous STAR WARS PRIDE VARIANT COVERS were first revealed by StarWars.com back in March.

Marvel’s Pride Month Celebration, which is committed to elevating, recognizing, and promoting LGBTQIA+ storytelling, will once again reach out to the galaxy far, far away by highlighting LGBTQIA+ Star Wars characters, many of whom are featured in Marvel’s current line of Star Wars comic books.

Fans may view dramatic and inspirational artwork of Doctor Aphra, Sana Starros, and others across seven magnificent variant covers. With eye-catching trade dress that incorporates a vibrant rainbow burst and a unique Star Wars progress emblem, these covers bring the spirit of Pride Month to your local comic store, drawn by an extraordinary array of recognized LGBTQIA+ artists.

“As a gay kid obsessed with Star Wars — I’m old enough to have seen the first movie in theaters when it came out back in ‘77 — I could never have dreamed that not only would I be able make artwork for the universe itself as a working adult, but that I would be drawing LGBTQIA+ Star Wars characters to celebrate Pride!” According to Phil Jimenez of StarWars.com. “The very idea would have blown my seven-year-old mind. What an extraordinary opportunity and a real gift to be a part of expanding the Star Wars universe in a really vital way.”

Inquire with your local comic store about availability, and collect all seven STAR WARS PRIDE VARIANT COVERS throughout the month of June!
