Scarlett Johansson, who plays Black Widow on the big screen, has lately praised her ex-husband Ryan Reynolds, calling him a “good guy.”
The ex-couple first began seeing one other in 2008 and announced their engagement in May of the same year. In September of 2008, they decided to take their relationship to the next level by being married in a small, intimate ceremony on Vancouver Island. Unfortunately, the marriage reached rock bottom in 2010, and the pair ultimately decided to divorce.

Johansson recently expressed that Reynolds is in fact a “good guy” when appearing on the podcast hosted by Gwyneth Paltrow titled “The Goop.” After all, the actress’s remark made it very evident that the exes do not remain on hostile terms with one another.
On Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop podcast, the host reminded listeners that Scarlett and Ryan had been married in the middle of the 2000s. The podcast was hosted by Gwyneth Paltrow.
“Oh, that’s right!” Gwyneth made a statement along the lines of, “I forgot that you were married to Ryan Reynolds! Goals!”
The actress responded to the acknowledgement with a chuckle and a “Yes! We weren’t married very long.”
After hearing this, Gwyneth joked, “It still counts!”
The creator of Goop then said that the actor is a fan favorite in her family, along with her husband Brad Falchuk, saying, “We love a good Ryan Reynolds in our home.”
Scarlett sums it up best: “He’s a good guy!”
Scarlett and Ryan were married for just a few short years, from 2008 until 2011.
Later, Scarlett tied the knot with writer Romain Dauriac in 2014; the exes are the parents of Rose, who is now 8 years old, however the couple divorced in 2017.
After that, in 2020, Scarlett wed Colin Jost, and the couple now has a kid together named Cosmo who is 20 months old.
Reason For Their Separation
For the benefit of those who are unaware, it was previously stated in In Touch that Scarlett and Ryan‘s demanding schedules were causing problems in their marriage. They did not see one other very often, and throughout that time, they were aware that their personalities were distinct from one another.
It was at this period that the actor who plays Deadpool met his future wife, Blake Lively. They were both working on the Green Lantern set at the time.

In December of 2010, the couple who had previously been married made the decision to terminate their marriage official by releasing a statement that went as follows: “After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we’ve decided to end our marriage. We entered our relationship with love, and it’s with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn’t expected, it’s certainly appreciated.”
Approximately six months after the couple finalized their divorce, Ryan Reynolds discussed the anguish of separation at length in one of his interviews. He also said that he is considering never marrying again. However, things began to change almost immediately once he began dating Blake Lively, and after dating for around one year, the pair tied the knot.
After living together for more than a decade before being married in 2012, Ryan and Blake Lively are now the proud parents of four children: James, age 8, Inez, age 6, and Betty, age 3. Their newest addition, a baby girl, was born in February of this year.
