Aerosmith has decided to postpone all of their scheduled farewell concerts for 2023 due to new insights into Tyler’s vocal injury. The “Peace Out” farewell tour began on September 2nd.

Earlier this month, the band postponed a month’s worth of shows upon first discovering Tyler’s injury, with hopes of resuming the tour by October. However, now they’ve made the decision to reschedule all remaining Aerosmith concerts for 2023 to a later date in 2024.

In a statement released on Friday, September 29th, they clarified, “Unfortunately, Steven’s vocal injury is more serious than initially thought. His doctor has confirmed that, in addition to the damage to his vocal cords, he has fractured his larynx, necessitating ongoing medical attention.”

Steven expressed his feelings, stating, “I am heartbroken to not be out there with Aerosmith, my brothers, and the incredible Black Crowes, rocking with the best fans in the world. I promise we will be back as soon as we can! – Love, Steven.”

Initially, the “Peace Out” they had a total of forty tour dates scheduled through early 2024. Following the first postponement due to Tyler’s injury, the tour was expected to resume on October 11. However, their concertgoers will now need to exercise a bit more patience.
