Reality TV star Shannon Beador faces DUI charges after a recent incident in Southern California, adding to her already challenging year.
Shannon Beador Arrested for DUI and Hit-and-Run
On Monday, TMZ reported that an intoxicated reality star from “Real Housewives of Orange County” struck a residence with her car and promptly returned to the road.
According to sources cited by the outlet, the 59-year-old reality star continued to drive briefly before parking her vehicle in the middle of the street and exiting with her dog, Archie. Law enforcement was summoned, and upon arrival, they discovered Beador behaving as though she was walking her dog.
However, authorities swiftly discerned that she was under the influence and subsequently took her into custody. A representative from the Newport Beach Police Department informed TMZ that the Bravolebrity was arrested and charged with two misdemeanors: hit-and-run and DUI alcohol.
Her car had also been seized as part of the police department’s investigation. She had been cited and released without bond.
The past several months had been rough for her, who still appeared to be reeling from her breakup with boyfriend John Janssen after 3-and-a-half years together.
Beador told People that she had been blindsided by Janssen breaking up with her in November 2022 — weeks after they had wrapped filming for Season 17 of ‘RHOC.’
She reportedly said, “He told her he was done with the relationship. And hearing what he said to her then was absolutely devastating.”
