Initially, the couple from “Chrisley Knows Best” faced a collective sentence of 19 years due to convictions related to bank fraud and tax evasion. However, Todd and Julie Chrisley, stars of the show, have recently seen their prison terms reduced. This development comes nearly a year after their initial sentencing on charges encompassing 12 counts, such as wire fraud and conspiracy to commit bank fraud.

The two were found guilty in June 2022; Todd received a sentence of 12 years, and Julie received a sentence of seven years. Their well-liked USA Network reality program ran for ten seasons. The two have now received reduced sentences, according to their attorney.

When are Todd and Julie Chrisley set to release?

Todd’s release date has been rescheduled to January 22, 2033, which is two years ahead of the original 2035 timeline. Meanwhile, Julie, currently serving her sentence at FMC Lexington in Kentucky, is expected to be released on October 19, 2028—15 months earlier than initially planned.

Their attorney, Jay Surgent, remarked, “Todd and Julie are undoubtedly exemplary inmates who received disproportionately lengthy sentences. Todd’s remaining term is now down to 10 years, and Julie’s has been reduced to just five years.”

According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ online inmate search system, Todd is scheduled for release from Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Florida on January 22, 2033, while Julie is set to be released from Federal Medical Center Lexington in Kentucky on October 19, 2028.

Their attorney, Surgent, noted that Todd and Julie have maintained exemplary conduct as inmates, making them eligible for sentence reductions under the First Step Act. Furthermore, there’s potential for additional reductions when new sentencing guidelines come into effect in November.

The Chrisleys were convicted in June 2022 for conspiracy to defraud banks of over $30 million in fraudulent loans, alongside various federal charges related to tax evasion.

In addition to their prison terms, they were placed on 16 months of probation each upon release and ordered to pay restitution. Currently, the Chrisleys are serving their sentences, with an appeal pending in the 11th Circuit Court.

Chrisley Knows Best” was a reality TV series that ran for a nine-year duration on the USA Network from 2014 to 2023. The show centered around Todd Chrisley, a wealthy real estate developer based in Georgia, his wife Julie, and three of their five children: Chase, Savannah, and Grayson.
