After being caught sharing public displays of affection in NYC, Lukas Gage and Chris Appleton are rumored to be secretly engaged.
An insider confirmed that the 27-year-old star of The White Lotus and Kim Kardashian’s 39-year-old hairstylist are dating, but that they have only notified their closest friends and family.

A whisper in the grapevine revealed a clandestine engagement: “They’re not telling the public yet, but they have told friends they are engaged. They got engaged before they even had rings and then went to pick them out together.”
The couple’s close friends are equally overjoyed with the announcement. “Friends think they are a great couple. Even though they moved very quickly, everyone around them is very excited about their relationship.”
Appleton confirmed their relationship during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, ending months of speculation about their romantic status.

“Listen, I’m very happy and very much in love. I feel very grateful to be able to share my time with someone very special. Love is a really special thing and, I think, meeting someone that you connect with is very special.”
When host Drew Barrymore flashed a photo of Gage on the screen behind her, the hair guru added: “That’s Lukas, we were in Mexico.”
On the Today program a few days later, Gage could not contain his enthusiasm about Appleton. “I feel very happy, very lucky, and very much in love. He’s a good-looking man.”
This is how Lukas came out!
The actor of Moonshot has a history of keeping his private life under wraps. The You alum responded last year to a social media user who had criticized Hollywood for consistently using heterosexual actors to portray LGBTQ+ roles.
A Twitter user in June of 2022 expressed their desire for Hollywood to cease casting “non-LGBTQIA+ actors like @lukasgage” in roles requiring them to portray LGBTQIA+ individuals. He’s appeared in four so far. One was enough.
In response, Gage said, “U don’t know my alphabet.” Gage replied, “No,” with a red heart emoji after the initial poster urged the Euphoria star to “enlighten the whole world” about his sexual identity.
Gage stated his disinterest in the public’s reading of the couple’s February Instagram posts of their trip to Mexico as proof of their love. In March, he told The New York Times, “If they want to think that, they can. I’m a pretty open book about most things in my life, but I have a problem with the culture of everyone needing to know everybody’s business and nothing can be sacred. It’s a weird line that I’m still trying to figure out.”
