Pink slams back on Twitter and said she is deeply upset with Twitter users who claim she “shades” Christina Aguilera in a recent interview.

Pink wasn’t adding to the story of her and Christina Aguilera’s now-defunct dispute. After fans accused the “Try” singer, 43, of “shading” her “Lady Marmalade” collaborator, 42, the mother-of-two turned to Twitter to clear the air. “Y’all are insane,” she tweeted on February 19th. “Xtina had s*** to do with who was on that song.”

Pink ranked their iconic 2001 collaboration “Lady Marmalade” at the bottom of her “most iconic music videos” during an interview with BuzzFeed UK, and that’s when it all started. Admitting to some unrest on set, the “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” singer revealed the beloved video, “wasn’t very fun to make.”

“I’m all about having fun,” she explained, “and there was a lot of fuss, and there were some personalities.” Hinting where the tension lay, Pink said she and Christina’s other collaborators, Lil Kim and Mýa, “were nice” to work with.

She tweeted in response to those who read all the way through, stating that Christina Aguilera had no involvement in the decision of who was featured on the song. Pink clarified that she was not trying to throw shade at anyone, but simply sharing the truth of what happened. She expressed that she had no interest in any drama and was focused on selling tickets, and albums, and even participating in bake sales. Here is the Tweet:

Back Story & Controvercy:

Aguilera and Pink have spoken publicly about each other since their music video collaboration, including when Pink shared in a 2017 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that Aguilera once attempted to physically fight her at a nightclub. However, the two eventually reconciled.

Pink stated during the “Plead the Fifth” portion that they were very young and inexperienced at the time and believed both she and her partner were alphas.

Aguilera made an appearance on the program two years later, acknowledging that Pink had some emotions regarding the recording of “Lady Marmalade.” She denied physically attacking her coworker but remembered the atmosphere on set.

And now this story heating up on the internet (Pink Slams Back On Twitter).
