Matthew Koma Suspended From Twitter

Matthew Koma, Hilary Duff’s husband, was banned from Twitter after he sent a series of tweets in which he posed as Gwyneth Paltrow.

Throughout the years, Matthew Koma has become known for trolling other celebs for laughs. The singer-songwriter, who has been married to Hilary Duff since 2019, shared the news that he has been permanently banned from Twitter due to his comical ways in April 2023.

Matthew Koma Suspended From Twitter

The music producer has reportedly been banned from using his social media account after being accused of impersonating Gwyneth Paltrow. On April 4, the 35-year-old posted a screenshot on his Instagram Stories, showing that his @MatthewKoma profile had been “permanently suspended.”

He also added the statement, “Goodbye Twitter. The troll was worth it.” On April 5, he shared a post on his account, expressing his gratitude for the supportive messages he received. The post included a selfie of Matthew and a cartoon that reads, “Gwyneth Fourever [sic] Sweet.”

Matthew added, “Closure’s hard. But it’s a community like you guys that keeps me positive and looking forward to the next time I find the opportunity to impersonate a celebrity on a social media platform.”

At the end of his post, he thanked the Goop creator for her role in inspiring him, writing, “Big thanks @gwynethpaltrow for the inspiration.”

A snapshot from before his suspension shows that Matthew had been tweeting using Gwyneth Paltrow’s name and with her image attached to his profile, pretending to be the Shallow Hal actress.

As Koma’s Twitter account has been removed, we don’t know what he may have written that led to his suspension.

A snapshot of one of his tweets, however, seems to reveal that he created a profile using Paltrow’s name and picture and wrote as if he were the “Shakespeare in Love” actress, who just won her ski accident trial.

Koma, Hilary Duff‘s husband, is notorious for his trolling.

He mocked Candace Cameron Bure in July 2022 for her Fourth of July music video, which included Bruce Springsteen‘s “Born in the USA,” a song commemorating veterans.

Later, when news of Adam Levine‘s sexting issue surfaced, the “Clarity” producer allegedly photoshopped himself into an image from one of the purported direct messages.

What Hilary Duff Has To Say

Duff, who is 35 years old, has said in the past that she is occasionally the target of her husband’s jokes.

In January, she revealed on the “Kelly Clarkson Show” that Koma had covered up family photographs with cutouts of the Jonas Brothers until she noticed.

Duff claims that Koma is a hilarious prankster whose Instagram postings are worth a read.

She said that some of his content is so out there that she cannot make sense of it, but other times she finds it funny.

Since 2019, Koma and Duff have been happily married. They have two kids together, Mae, 2, and Banks, 4. Duff and her ex-husband Mike Comrie are also parents to their son Luca, who is 11 years old.
