Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick’s marriage is one of Hollywood’s longest.
Bacon said that he still enjoys doing simple things with his wife. According to him, meeting Kyra Sedgwick on the set of the 1987 PBS film Lemon Sky was like falling in love at first sight.

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick have been married for 35 years, and they are still as in love as the day they said “I do” in 1988.
While they have collaborated on the upcoming film Space Oddity, the duo doesn’t regularly work together. In an exclusive interview with People, they discussed what makes their marriage alive. Kyra revealed the endearing explanation for their long-lasting love:Â “A sense of humor is crucial. He is very freaking funny.”
Fans look to the “Footloose” and “Closer” stars, as well as Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson and Dave Franco and Alison Brie, as examples of successful long-term Hollywood couples.

Kyra acknowledged feeling somewhat hesitant about Kevin initially but ultimately agreed to a date with him after being impressed by his portrayal of a character in Apollo 13.
Later, she reminisced about waking up and realizing that being with him felt like being at home. She recounted, “I remember waking up and going, ‘I feel like home.’ I realized, ‘Oh, that was him.'”
For the past 30 years, they have been married and during this time, they have raised their son Travis, now 33, and their daughter Sosie, who is now 31.
Sedgwick, the recipient of an Emmy award in 2010 for her popular TV show “The Closer,” aspires to direct more in the upcoming years. “I love being in charge of the storytelling,” she expresses.
During their free time, the humble pair relish simple pleasures in life when they are not occupied with work.
Bacon expressed, “To me, walking down the street together just shooting the s— in the middle of the night still feels like a nice place to be.”
