ITV Says This Morning Will Replace Philip Schofield With Comedian

This Morning Will Replace Philip Schofield

As Phillip Schofield is away for a week, comedian and star of The Masked Singer Joel Dommett will be hosting This Morning on Wednesday and Thursday.

Comedian and Masked Singer host Joel Dommett, 37, has been revealed to be filling in for Phillip this week on Wednesday and Thursday; Phil is expected back on Monday, April 3.

This Morning Will Replace Philip Schofield

ITV posted on social media, saying: “Join @hollywills and guest presenter @joeldommett, this Wednesday and Thursday on #ThisMorning! See you at 10am on ITV1, STV and @ITVX!”

Joel is a well-known personality among ITV viewers as he has hosted every season of both The Masked Singer and its spin-off, The Masked Dancer. He is accustomed to sharing the stage with celebrities dressed in various costumes, such as Panda, Jacket Potato, Otter, and Knitting, but tomorrow he will co-host with Holly.

What’s The Turmoil Of Timothy Schofield?

That comes after Phil’s brother, Timothy Schofield, 54, was charged this week with sexually assaulting a schoolboy after reportedly confessing to his famous sibling.

Timothy apparently had an ‘obsessive sexual interest’ in a teenager and went to the This Morning host’s house to confide in him.

According to the evidence presented during his trial, when he informed his TV star brother that he and the youngster had a sex act together, Phillip said, ‘What did you say?’ And when the defendant explained the ‘time’ he and his claimed victim spent together, the celebrity responded, ‘What the hell is [that]?’

As stated by the court, the TV host informed his brother that it “should never happen again” and subsequently made a statement to police that is part of the case against his younger sibling.

Timothy Schofield is accused of 11 sexual offenses against the youngster over a three-year period beginning in October 2016. He denies all of them.
