A surprise rendition: Catch SZA and Justin Bieber’s collab in an incredible acoustic rendition of “Snooze”, plus a sneak peek into her upcoming collaboration with Drake on “Slime You Out” this Friday!
SZA and Justin Bieber Collab: Snooze (Acoustic)
SZA has recently unveiled a new, acoustic rendition of “Snooze,” featuring Justin Bieber. This particular track originally made its debut on her 2022 album, SOS. In August, SZA also treated her fans to the music video for the song, which prominently showcased Justin Bieber.
During a performance held in New York on September 8, SZA tantalized her audience with a sneak peek of an upcoming deluxe edition of SOS, tentatively titled “Lana,” set to drop sometime this autumn.
Furthermore, she has collaborated with Drake on a brand-new track titled “Slime You Out,” scheduled for release at noon on September 15. After successfully wrapping up a European tour earlier in the summer, SZA is gearing up for another round of North American shows in support of SOS, commencing at the end of September.
As for Justin Bieber, his most recent album, “Justice,” was unleashed in 2021. In a significant move, he sold his music catalog to Hipgnosis for a staggering $200 million back in January, marking the company’s most substantial acquisition up to that point. Additionally, he made an appearance on Skrillex’s EP titled “Don’t Get Too Close,” which dropped in February.
SZA had forgotten to mention her “Snooze” remix featuring Justin Bieber, an acoustic rendition adorned with shimmering harmonies rather than a conventional makeover with new Bieber verses, was about to make its debut.
In a post shared on Instagram just after midnight on Friday, the SOS sensation wrote, “Ps. forgot to mention this lmao Snooze Acoustic ft @Justinbieber out now 🤓.”
Fans had been anticipating this for several weeks, as SZA had released a smoky music video in August, featuring a shirtless Biebs. An expanded SOS album, including “at least 10 additional tracks,” as reported by Variety, was expected to be shared by her soon.
SZA is currently making an appearance on Drake’s new song “Slime You Out,” which features 2012 Halle Berry on the cover art and is presumably set for release in the upcoming week on “For All the Dogs.” The song is set to drop today at noon ET.
Bieber is also pulling double duty, as he appears on Diddy’s The Love Album: Off the Grid, which also hit at midnight and boasts 23 tracks stacked with guests, including The Weeknd, 21 Savage, Mary J. Blige, Burna Boy, Kehlani, H.E.R, Teyana Taylor, Summer Walker, The-Dream, to name only a few.
The Justice singer also shared some clips on Instagram showing himself recording his contributions to one of SZA’s many masterpieces from SOS.
