The National Unveils Latest Album ‘Laugh Track’
They has announced the impending release of their latest album, which is scheduled to drop at 12 a.m. Eastern on September 18. This revelation took place during their Homecoming music festival on Friday, as reported by Stereogum.
The festival in Cincinnati, Ohio, hosted by the band, featured performances by Patti Smith, Pavement, Arooj Aftab, Weyes Blood, and several other artists this year.
Their previous album, “First Two Pages of Frankenstein,” was released in April and boasted guest appearances from the likes of Taylor Swift, Sufjan Stevens, and Phoebe Bridgers. Their most recent offerings include the singles “Space Invaders” and “Alphabet City.”

During their Homecoming Festival set, They delivered a full rendition of their 2010 album High Violet and featured a special duet with Patti Smith on the song “I Need My Girl.” The band made a return to the stage for a second set on Saturday, where they proceeded to perform Trouble Will Find Me in its entirety.
