Star of the Harry Potter films Daniel Radcliffe has become a father with his long-term girlfriend, Erin Darke.
On April 25, the couple was spotted lugging a pram through New York City, confirming the birth of the baby. Daniel Radcliffe pushed the baby stroller looking every bit the doting father while Erin trailed close behind.
Daniel Radcliffe Welcomes First Child
Rep for Radcliffe said, “We can confirm that Erin Darke and Daniel have welcomed their first child.” However, neither the baby’s gender nor the date of birth have been announced by the parents.
The 33-year-old actor has been in a long-term relationship with the 38-year-old American actress Darke. When filming ”Kill Your Darlings” in 2012, the two actors hit it off immediately and have been dating ever since. Darke portrayed Allen Ginsberg’s love interest Gwendolyn, while Radcliffe played the poet. The duo, though, is famously reserved and seldom appears on the red carpet.
Drake’s baby bump photos were internet sensations last month. A Radcliffe fan account uploaded the photos on Instagram.
They’ve been together for almost a decade now, having met in 2012 on the set of Kill Your Darlings.
In an interview with People, the Harry Potter star said, “It’ll be a hell of a story to tell our kids one day because of what our characters do with each other.” He was alluding to the couple’s steamy moment together in the movie.
He continued, “Our characters are meeting and flirting with each other, so there is this kind of sweet record of us just meeting for the first time and flirting.”
