TLC’s Chilli Anticipates Grandmotherhood
In an Instagram post, Tron Austin, the son of TLC member [Tionne] “T-Boz” Watkins, joyfully shared that he and his wife, Jeong Ah Wang, are expecting their first child.
The 26-year-old expressed their excitement, revealing that their daughter, Luna Wang Austin, is set to arrive in March 2024. He also commended his wife’s tremendous effort and resilience throughout their journey to parenthood.
“WE ARE PREGNANT!! ,” the 26-year-old gushed. “FINALLY WE CAN OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCE OUR DAUGHTER -LUNA WANG AUSTIN- will be here in March 2024!”
“To my wife I am so proud of you witnessing you going through so much just to get our beautiful baby here,” he continued. “I am in awe of your efforts and I am blessed and honored by Jesus himself to begin this journey with you.”
Austin went on to detail the various procedures his wife underwent, including in vitro fertilization (IVF), to conceive their baby girl. Luna’s arrival is a significant milestone in their relationship, as the couple got married in December 2022. Wang showed incredible strength as she endured two HSG procedures, an egg retrieval, a hysteroscopy, and a miscarriage during their path to parenthood. Austin expressed their readiness to embrace parenthood and concluded the announcement by extending warm wishes to his wife on their fifth anniversary.
“Wang stayed strong through two HSG procedures, an egg retrieval, a ysteroscopy and a miscarriage. #IVF has tested us and blessed us through a year and a half journey,” Austin wrote.
“We will be the best parents for our little one and we just cannot wait for her to be here.” He concluded by wishing his wife a happy fifth anniversary, adding, “I hope you enjoy the diaper bag hehe.”
TLC’s Chilli’s Reaction
TLC’s Chilli has not yet shared her reaction to her son’s exciting news on social media. The singer welcomed her son back in June 1997 with producer Sammy Austin, but their relationship came to an end in 2001 when she began dating Usher.
In recent times, Chilli has been in a relationship with child actor Matthew Lawrence since late 2022, and they’re open to the idea of starting a family together someday. She expressed her hopes for starting a family in an interview with Entertainment Tonight in March, but also clarified on “Ryan Cameron Uncensored” that marriage is a prerequisite before welcoming baby number two.
It’s worth noting that while Chilli has never been married, Lawrence was previously wed to “Dancing With the Stars” pro Cheryl Burke, though they divorced in early 2022 after nearly three years of marriage.
