Check out the trailer below for a documentary series by a streamer who has taken on multiple projects about the infamous Menendez brothers, including a snapped episode titled “Menendez Brothers, Monsters or Victims?”

This series promises to go deeper into the murder trial and explore any possible connections between the case and the world of music. With more time and extensive reporting, this documentary series aims to drill down into the details and shed new light on the case.

The streamer describes the series as an explosive limited series that unveils the story of Lyle and Erik Menendez, who infamously killed their parents in 1989.

The series also explores the rise of Menudo, the first mega-boy band to take the world by storm. Viewers can learn about the connection between the two stories, which could corroborate the brothers’ decades-old accusations against their father, Jose Menendez.

It is believed that one former Menudo member holds the key to changing how the public views the brothers’ case, while also crusading for his own justice.

Star Reactions To The Program

Natasha Lyonne and the show’s creator, Rian Johnson, recently discussed the show’s appeal and potential second season. During an appearance on Deadline’s TV Contender, they detailed their plans.

Johnson expressed the desire to continue with the show and believed that it was structured with an overarching story, similar to the plot of “Quantum Leap” where the main character’s goal was to return home. He opined that the storyline was just a means to keep the protagonist on the road, solving little mysteries, and encountering interesting characters. The team’s primary objective is to continue creating new episodes for as long as possible.

“We want to keep doing it and I feel like it is very much built so that there is an overarching story but it’s kind of similar to the story of whether Sam is going to get home on Quantum Leap. It kind of doesn’t matter really, it’s just an engine to be able to keep her on the road and keep her moving and keep doing these little mysteries and having exciting people in them. Our goal is to just keep doing that as long as we can.”

The speaker noted that all the shows he enjoys have a charismatic star as the centerpiece, which draws him to follow the mysteries and hang out with the character each week. Specifically, he mentioned that he enjoys spending time with Peter Falk on his favorite show.

“What I realized is that what these shows have in common is they all have an incredibly charismatic star at the center. I’m following the mysteries, sure, but I’m mainly watching to hang out with Peter Falk every week.”

However, he believes there are not many actors today who possess such an ability to captivate an audience in the same way. After meeting Natasha and becoming friends with her, the speaker was convinced that she possessed the same magnetic presence that could bring a character to life and draw in viewers, as evidenced by her performance in “Russian Doll.”

“There aren’t that many people out there who can do that today. So when I saw Natasha in Russian Doll, met with her and we became friends, I knew Natasha was someone who could pull this off.”
