In an interview for Time’s 100 list, Kim Kardashian said she’d be “completely happy” to concentrate on practicing law full-time instead.

Kim might pursue a career shift to law. The 42-year-old reality star said during a live chat at the Time 100 Summit on Tuesday, April 25 that she would be quite content to “retire” from celebrity and concentrate on practicing law. She joked that she had let her mother, Kris Jenner, 67, know that she was glad to devote herself to law.

Kim Kardashian Wishes To Be A Full-Time Lawyer

In an interview with CNN’s Poppy Harlow, Kim said she planned to devote her time and energy to practicing law because she believed it to be the “most meaningful work” she could do. “I always joke with my mom, who’s my manager. I say, ‘Kim K. is retiring, and I’m just going to be an attorney. So you can go help my siblings. So you can still have a job. I’m giving her the heads up!”

Kim went on to say that she would “absolutely” think about leaving the public eye, and she discussed how much she treasures her solitude. “There’s a lot that’s always on TV, and a lot that’s always out there, but I think my friends and my family know we really cherish a lot of our private times, and I would be just as happy being an attorney full-time and doing that,” she said. “The journey just really opened up my eyes to so much that I just, it gets overwhelming, because there’s so much to be done.”

She said before that she and her late father, Robert Kardashian, had discussed her interest in attending law school often before his death. She said that her father and she had the same work ethic and that her father “warned [her] how stressful it is” to be a lawyer when he was still alive.

Kim Kardashian also discussed her advocacy for jail reform, revealing that she and Khloe had just visited a prison, an event Kim described as “eye-opening” for Khloe. Whether or not she became famous, she said she would have kept working on prison reform. She remarked, “I would totally spend more time doing that, cameras [or] no cameras.”

Since 2019, Kim has been pursuing her education to become a lawyer. After failing the “baby bar” test four times, she finally passed it in the year 2021. Additionally, she said that she intends to sit for the bar examination in February of 2025.
