Ed Sheeran Tour

Ed Sheeran’s audience capacity will be reduced for special gigs during this year’s Arena Tour.

Ed Sheeran’s massive stadium tour begins in May, but he’s also offering fans the chance to see him in a more intimate setting to hear the full of his new album Subtract. The singer revealed that he would begin a new series of gigs in smaller venues dubbed the Subtract Tour to play his current record front to back.

Ed Sheeran Announces Theater Shows

Ed Sheeran has released plans for the “- Tour” (called “Subtract Tour”), a unique series of performances slated to take place in 14 locations throughout North America in theaters and auditoriums.

The gigs, which will mostly feature singer-songwriter Ben Kweller as support, will take place in between dates of his big stadium tour, dubbed the “+ – = x Tour” (called “Mathematics Tour”), which was announced this past fall.

“I’m playing some smaller theatre shows in the US this summer, so I can play Subtract the entire way through with full band in an intimate setting,” Sheeran said on social media.

According to the press announcement, Sheeran’s Subtract Tour will make use of Ticketmaster‘s Verified Fan system. Ticket registration is currently available and will close at 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 30; on-sale starts May 2 at 10 a.m. local time.
