Thursday’s event at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas was Miranda Lambert’s last before she had to cancel it due to vocal cord issues.
“To those fans who made plans to spend their Thursday night with us, I truly apologize,” Lambert said.
Miranda Lambert Abruptly Cancels Las Vegas Residency Show
The country singer announced earlier in the day on social media that she is now unable to perform due to medical advice to rest her voice.
The performance was part of the newest leg of Miranda Lambert’s Velvet Rodeo tour. There will be five more performances of the Las Vegas residency till April 9.

Lambert then apologized for having to cancel the event at the last minute and assured fans that she is doing all in her power to recover by the weekend.
If everything goes well and Lambert can perform to her own standards, she will return to the Bakkt Theater stage on April 1.

According to her website, the continuing residency also includes performances on April 2, April 6, April 8, and April 9.
This is not the first time Lambert has had to take a vacation from performing due to vocal rest recommended by the doctor.
She had to postpone many gigs in 2012 due to vocal chord difficulties, including inflammation, as reported by Save Country Music.
Her show in Calgary, Canada, was postponed momentarily in 2015 due to the same issue.
When she came down with laryngitis or something similar the next year, she had to cancel a number of performances in her home state of Texas.
Since the release of her self-titled album in 2001, Lambert has been a country music sensation, and her Velvet Rodeo residency in Las Vegas is a celebration of that fact.
She has published four albums as a solo artist, nine studio albums, and one collaboration album with Jack Ingram and Jon Randall in 2021. She has recorded four albums as a member of the female country group Pistol Annies, which also includes Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley.
Lambert has won 37 ACM Awards, including the current title of ACM Entertainer of the Year and a record-breaking nine consecutive Female Artist of the Year Awards, 14 CMA Awards, three Grammy Awards, the Nashville Symphony Harmony Award, ACM Gene Weed Milestone Award, and ACM Song of the Decade Award, among others.
