The Bamboozle Festival, which was scheduled for next weekend (May 5-7) in Atlantic City, has been canceled.
A representative for Atlantic City, where the three-day event was to be held, announced in a statement posted Friday afternoon that Bamboozle will not get final permits after organizers failed to submit crucial documents by the city’s deadline.

The event was scheduled to take place from May 5-7 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, with a lineup that included blackbear, Bad Omens, DE’WAYNE, Flyleaf, Ice Spice, Mod Sun, Turnover, and others.
“After extensive discussions, we have made the heartbreaking decision to cancel Bamboozle 2023,” the event said in an official statement posted on its website and Instagram. “An incredible amount of time, dedication, passion and hard work was invested into making this comeback a success. We appreciate everyone who supported this festival. Refunds should be requested at point of purchase.”

Few other details have been released, though according to NJ.com, the festival failed to submit proper documentation by the required deadline in order to secure its permits.

The festival’s Twitter looks to be inactive, while comments on Instagram appear to be disabled. Ticket holders should seek a refund at the point of purchase, according to the festival.
More About The Festival
It’s an annual three-day music event hosted in New Jersey from 2003 to 2012, with its originator planning a 2023 return in Atlantic City.
New bands competed for spots during the two days every year. The Skate and Surf Festival gave birth to the event.
